Burma Road by Framing Examples

Descripton: This watercolor of Burma Road is a historical painting from WWII. It is floated on top of a sage green raw silk hand wrapped mat board, allowing the the edges of its paper to be seen. Walls were built and wrapped in the same fabric for the glass to rest on so that it would not be touching the artwork. The antiqued light grey frame complements the washes in the painting, and its patterned surface continues the horizontal lines in the tent and mountains.
